Overview
SHD Studios operates the SHD YouTube Command Center, an internal analytics and reporting system used to collect, organize, and analyze performance data from YouTube channels authorized by SHD Studios. This policy explains what data the system accesses, how it is used and stored, and how access can be revoked.
Google and YouTube data we access
The system requests read-only access through the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API. Depending on API availability, it may access:
- Channel names, channel IDs, and subscriber counts
- Video titles, IDs, publication dates, and durations
- Views, engaged views, watch time, and retention metrics
- Subscriber gains and losses
- Traffic-source and content-type information
- Other aggregated channel and video-performance metrics
The application does not request permission to upload, modify, publish, or delete YouTube content. It does not request Google passwords, private messages, payment information, or personally identifiable information about individual viewers.
How we use the data
Authorized data is used only to create internal analytics reports, compare SHD Studios channels, evaluate content and audience performance, support publishing and marketing decisions, identify trends and risks, and produce management dashboards and executive summaries.
It is not used for unrelated advertising, credit decisions, surveillance, or individual viewer profiling.
Storage and security
Collected analytics are stored in a private Google Sheet controlled by SHD Studios. OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored through Google Apps Script’s user-specific property system. OAuth client credentials are stored in Apps Script Script Properties.
Access is limited to authorized accounts and personnel. SHD Studios uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, although no electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Sharing and disclosure
SHD Studios does not sell, rent, license, or trade Google user data. Data is not shared except with Google services required to operate the APIs and workbook, when required by applicable law or valid legal process, or when necessary to protect system security and legal rights.
Google API Limited Use
SHD Studios’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Analytics are retained for internal reporting, historical comparison, and operational decision-making. Authorized users may request deletion, and an authorized owner may delete data directly from the workbook. OAuth authorization is retained until access is revoked, the associated profile is reset, or the Google account removes access.
Revoking access
A Google account holder may revoke access at any time through Google Account permissions. Revocation stops future collection but does not automatically remove data already stored.
Deletion requests may be sent to contact@spacehistorydesigns.com. Please identify the applicable channel or account. Verification may be required to prevent unauthorized deletion.
Children’s privacy
The Command Center is an internal business analytics system, is not directed toward children, and does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
